While the company was originally founded as a fiberglass boom and bucket manufacturer, Protek Bodies transitioned into the truck body sector in the early 1980s after we recognized the potential of fiberglass truck bodies due to their lightweight materials, strength, and durability. At this time, we also identified a key limitation in the technology—fixed moulds—which restricted the level of customization that customers sought.
Through years of innovation and a strong commitment to listening to customer needs, our team developed a proprietary flexible mould system that allowed for complete customization of truck body designs, offering unprecedented flexibility in the market.
As customer preferences evolved, we saw that many clients also wanted aluminum or steel truck bodies. In response, we expanded our product line to include fully customizable bodies in fiberglass, aluminum, and steel.
Today, Protek Bodies is the only company in North America that manufactures fully customized truck bodies in all three materials: fiberglass, aluminum, and steel.
At Protek Bodies, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our truck bodies. To give you peace of mind, we offer the following warranties on our products:
We offer a 10-year limited warranty on all fiberglass truck bodies, the longest in the industry. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal usage and proper maintenance. If a defect is discovered, we will repair or replace the fiberglass truck body at our discretion, ensuring your truck body performs to its original specifications. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or neglect.
Our 3-year limited warranty applies to aluminum truck bodies. This warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship under standard usage and maintenance. If a defect arises within the 3-year period, we will either repair or replace the aluminum truck body, depending on the nature of the defect. This warranty excludes damages resulting from improper use, environmental factors, or accidents.
We provide a 1-year limited warranty for steel truck bodies. This covers defects in materials and workmanship during the first year of use, subject to normal wear and tear. Should a defect arise, we will repair or replace the steel truck body at our discretion. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, impact, or neglect.

To make a warranty claim, the original purchaser must contact Protek Bodies at warranty@protekbodies.com and provide proof of purchase along with a description of the defect. We may request an inspection of the truck body before proceeding with a warranty repair or replacement.
Protek Bodies’ liability under this limited warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the defective truck body. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of income, or any other associated costs.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.
